Finding a gîte that sleeps twelve on the Landes coast is often a puzzle: most rentals cap out at six or eight. The estate has two of them, very different from each other, a few dozen metres apart.
La Serre — 140 m², single storey, with a garden
La Serre was rebuilt from two flats and a large greenhouse, which today houses the dining room. Five bedrooms, three bathrooms, including one bedroom fitted with four bunk beds — designed for a group of children. The private garden of 180 m², enclosed and not overlooked, has a table for twelve and a gas plancha.
L’Atelier & le Grenier — 210 m², air-conditioned
This is two adjoining gîtes brought together and rented as one: 210 m² over two floors, five bedrooms, three bathrooms, reversible air conditioning, three terraces and a balcony. The arrangement works when a group wants both to gather and to scatter: each half keeps its own entrance, kitchen and sitting room.
Which one to choose?
The decision comes down to two criteria. Single storey or two floors: La Serre is entirely on one level, L’Atelier & le Grenier is not. Garden or terraces: La Serre offers one enclosed garden in a single piece, the other four separate outdoor spaces. If the group includes older people, very young children or anyone with reduced mobility, La Serre is the obvious choice.
Beyond twelve
By booking several gîtes, the estate can host up to twenty-eight people: La Serre (12), L’Atelier & le Grenier (12) and La Vigne (4). All the accommodation opens onto the same park — guests meet outside without anyone getting into a car.
